We know you will vote on or before Nov. 8 because you’re so excited about these midterm elections!
But due to rampant conspiracy theories about the 2020 election, it’s no longer enough to just vote. We must protect the vote.
Livingston Dems will host Michigan Democratic Party Voter Protection Director Erica Peresman at the party’s monthly meeting on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 7 p.m.
Please RSVP by signing up here. The address is private. Attendees will receive notification of the location prior to the event. The event will be indoors. Please wear a mask.
Erica will discuss ways volunteers can protect the vote, including volunteering as a poll challenger or early voting observer. She will also highlight training opportunities that equip volunteers with all of the skills and information they need to help ensure the integrity of the Nov. 8 election.
“Everyone who has volunteered to be a poll challenger has come away with a feeling of having done something worthwhile on Election Day. We encourage you to consider this vital way to protect democracy in 2022,” said Judy Daubenmier, chair of Livingston County Democratic Party.
The MDP will provide online training that will equip volunteers with all the knowledge and skills they need to be effective democracy protectors. The party’s regular business meeting will follow.
