Livingston Dems Celebrate the 4th!

Updated: Jul 15, 2022

A huge "thank you" to all who turned out to celebrate the 4th of July with Livingston Dems!

The party had a big showing in parades around the county. In Brighton, more than 40 people walked with the party behind Jim Evers’ antique police car and Doug Callaghan’s antique red Studebaker.

U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin’s campaign also had a large group of walkers, as did 48th State House candidate Jennifer Conlin and 49th State House candidate Christina Kafkakis.

In Cohoctah, 50th State House candidate Glen Miller walked with supporters and then participated again later in the day in the Fowlerville parade.

County Commission candidate Lori Cowan and supporters walked in the Gregory parade, backed up by a pickup from which her husband, Billy Mack, performed a specially written song, ”She’s the One".

“Democrats know that our nation isn’t perfect. It’s a work in progress, and that’s why we still celebrate our country’s birthday even as we struggle toward that ‘more perfect union.’ Thank you again for coming out. It was great to meet so many new people and to receive such a warm welcome all the way along the parade route in Brighton,” said Judy Daubenmier, chair of the Livingston County Democratic Party.
