Livingston Democrats will put the spotlight on their candidates for local office with a special “Evening with the Candidates” coming up in September.
The event will feature a round-robin, “speed-dating” approach that will let you visit with several candidates face to face in a small group and really get to know them.
“An Evening with the Candidates” will be Sept. 11, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Howell Eagles, 141 Schroeder Park Dr., Howell, just south of I-96 at the D-19 exit (exit 137). It will feature live music provided by “One Foot in the Groove”, a classic rock band from Southeast Michigan. Also included will be appetizers, desserts, a cash bar, 50-50 raffle, and an online silent auction.
Participating in the event will be local candidates for the Michigan House, county commission, and township. Tickets are $35 and are available through ActBlue. Sponsorships are also available at the following levels: Bronze ($75); Silver ($125, including two tickets); Gold, $250 (including four tickets), and Platinum ($500, including 8 tickets).
This will be a lively event that will help you get to know the people you will be voting for in November!
