Dems to Hear from Diversity Council Head

America is a more diverse country than ever before. While some struggle with the nation’s growing diversity, Democrats believe diversity is a good thing that has always made our nation stronger.

That’s why Livingston Dems will hear from the head of the Livingston Diversity Council at its next monthly meeting.

Nicole Matthews-Creech, president of the council, will discuss the council’s recently expanded activities and its importance to the community.

“Livingston Dems value diversity and appreciate the need for more acceptance of diversity in our county. We’re excited to have the chance to hear from Nicole about the activities of the council and its importance to the future of our community,” said Judy Daubenmier, chair of the Livingston County Democratic Party.

The council offers training and education on topics such as implicit bias for both residents and businesses. It also reacts to issues of bias that occur within the community.

Under Matthews-Creech’s leadership, the council has recently become much more active.

Matthews-Creech will speak at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, via Zoom. Sign up here https://forms.gle/78EjTmc18FAsY8Qy7 to receive the Zoom link the day of the meeting.

The party’s regular business meeting will follow.
