Polls Open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Primary Election Day Tuesday!

Decision time is here!

Democratic voters like you will pick our party's nominees for governor, U.S. Senate, and 7th District Congress on primary day, Tuesday, Aug. 4. Early voting closed Sunday, but polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

Here are some voting tips:

--If you need to register to vote, you can still do that Tuesday at your local clerk's office and then vote an absentee ballot.

--If you need a ride to the polls, you may call party headquarters, 810-229-4212.

--If you still have your absentee ballot, you must return it to your clerk's office or drop box by 8 p.m. on Tuesday or it will not count! Do not mail it! Only hand deliver it.

--If you encounter problems at the polls, call the Michigan Democratic Party's Voter Assistance Hotline, 1-833-MIVotes (1-833-648-6837).

Use this link to look up your polling location or find more information about how to vote in person on Tuesday.

Remember to vote only in the Democratic column in the primary, and to vote in the non-partisan section for 44th Circuit Court judge.

Two Democrats are running -- Andrea Banfield and Mark Gatesman -- but you can only vote for one.

And be sure to vote for the renewal of the veterans services millage. The Livingston County Democratic Executive Committee has endorsed that proposal and urges a YES vote.

If you've already voted, sign up to canvass with the One Team Michigan on Tuesday to get out the primary vote. People who vote in the primary are more likely to vote in November as well so it's important to have a high turnover. Details here.
