Important Voting Dates This Week!

Election Day is Nov. 3 this year, but we are already in “election season.”
Several important dates are coming up this week.
--Monday, Oct. 19, is the last day to register to vote online. You can do it here. If you want to register to vote by mail, your application must be postmarked by Monday. After Monday, you will need to register in person at your local clerk’s office. You can register in person up until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
--Monday, Oct. 19, also is the last day that you should return your absentee ballot by mail in order to be certain that it arrives before 8 p.m. on Nov. 3. Ballots received after that time will not count. After Monday, please deliver your absentee ballot to your local clerk’s office or drop box. Do not rely on mail delivery after Monday.
--Monday, Oct. 24, is the start of the nine-day in person early voting period in Michigan. Details on early voting hours and locations in Livingston County are here.

Remember, when you vote early you help the party's Get Out the Vote effort by reducing the number of voters who need to be contacted and reminded to vote. If you want the phone calls and reminder texts to stop, vote early!
