Mark Brewer to Speak at Evening with the Candidates

We've all heard about the way our county sheriff flaunted the law by letting Donald Trump hold an event on county property.

Now come hear what the state's top election lawyer says about Mike Murphy's actions.

Mark Brewer, former head of the Michigan Democratic Party, will kick off our Evening with the Candidates coming up on Sept. 11.

The Evening with the Candidates will feature a round-robin format that will let you visit with several local candidates during the evening. It's like speed-dating, but only with political candidates.

The event will be on Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Howell Eagles, 141 Schroeder Park Dr., Howell. Live music by One Foot in the Groove, plus appetizers, desserts, a cash bar, 50-50 raffle, and an online silent auction.
