Better services and wise spending of the public’s funds will be the priorities of a Marion Township man seeking a seat on the township’s board of trustees.
Zach Zurek is the first Democrat to run in Marion Township for several election cycles. He is seeking one of four trustee seats and is part of a huge slate of Democrats on the ballot in November.
“I am running because I want to serve the residents of Marion Township,” he said. “I look forward to working with the other board members to improve schools, infrastructure, and social services. I believe that government’s obligation is to provide high quality services to the people and to spend their tax dollars wisely and efficiently.”
Zurek, a resident of the county for 30 years, is an attorney with the firm Garan, Lucow, Miller P.C. He has a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
He and his wife, Crystal, were high school sweethearts at Hartland High School. They have one son who is preparing to enter Challenger Elementary School this fall.
