Featured speakers include Michigan Supreme Court Justice Noah Hood, who is running for re-election to the Michigan Supreme Court.

Justice Hood is a native of Detroit whose father served on the Detroit City Council while his mother has served for decades as a federal judge after being appointed to the U.S. District Court by President Bill Clinton. His grandfather was a founding member of SCLC and contemporary of Andrew Young.
Justice Hood graduated from Yale University and Harvard Law School before becoming an assistant U.S. attorney in Toledo. In 2019 he was appointed to the Third Judicial Circuit Court in Detroit and in 2022 he was appointed to the Michigan Court of Appeals.

Also speaking will be Eileen Zilch, chief executive officer of Community Catalysts. She will speak on the organization’s recent report on housing needs in Livingston County in the coming decade.
