Livingston Dems Support Backpacks for Kids

Many school children will have the supplies they need to start the school year, thanks to a hefty donation by Livingston Dems to the annual Backpacks for Kids drive sponsored by Livingston Educational Service Agency.

The party delivered 55 backpacks filled with school supplies as well as boxes of extra supplies of pens, folders, markers, and notebooks worth hundreds of dollars.

“With the high inflation rate, many families are struggling to pay for gas and groceries and just can’t find the extra cash for backpacks and school supplies,” said Judy Daubenmier, party chair.

“We appreciate the generosity of so many local Democrats who made this drive possible.”

The party delivered the backpacks to LESA on Thursday, July 30.

The backpack drive is an annual event for Livingston Dems.
