America will celebrate its birthday on July 4 and Livingston Dems will be front-and-center for the party.
Livingston Dems will walk in four parades around the county on Monday, July 4, and you are invited to join us.
The biggest parade will be the Brighton parade, set for 10 a.m. on July 4. We will assemble at 9:30 a.m. on the side streets near the Brighton Education and Community Center, Main and Church Streets. Look for our antique red Studebaker pickup.
There will be no parking at the start of the parade, so participants are encouraged to park at the Brighton High School or in downtown Brighton and walk to the start of the parade.
The theme of the parade is what we are proud of as Americans. Please dress in red, white, and blue. Signs stating what you are proud of as Americans are welcome. Costumes and creativity are encouraged! We will have flags to waive.
Sign up here to let us know you are coming.
Please join us and help us show the community there are Democrats in Livingston County!
If you can’t walk, but plan to watch the parade, please take photos of our entry and email them to us at livcodems@gmail.com.
Our candidates will be walking in parades around the county on July 4 and could use your support as well.
Glen Miller, candidate for the 50th House District, will walk in both the 10 a.m. parade in Cohoctah and the 6 p.m. parade in Fowlerville. The 50th District includes the city of Howell, the village of Fowlerville, the townships of Cohoctah, Conway, Deerfield, Handy, Hartland, Howell, Iosco, Marion, Oceola, and Unadilla, plus the southern part of Tyrone Township and all but the southeast corner of Putnam Township. Contact Glen at friendsofglenmiller@gmail.com if you can help carry his banner or walk with him in either parade.
Lori Cowan, candidate for county commissioner in District 3, will be walking in the Gregory parade at noon.
