A book by Georgia’s standout political organizer, Stacy Abrams, will be the next book on the agenda of Livingston Dems’ Blue Ideas Book Club.
Our Time is Now: Power, Purpose, and the Fight for a Fair America will be discussed at the club’s April 1 meeting.
The book examines voter suppression in the United States both with anecdotes from Abrams’ own political experience and expert research. Abrams ran for governor in Georgia but didn’t win after Republicans used voter suppression tactics.
A copy of the book is available for borrowing in the office of Livingston Dems. Please contact the office at 810-229-4212 to arrange a time to borrow it as the office is open limited hours during the winter.
The book also is available in various formats from various vendors, as well as through the Brighton District Library.
Blue Ideas Book Club will meet on April 1 at 7 p.m. via Zoom to discuss the book.
