Livingston Dems’ biggest event of the year – the annual Winans Dinner – is back in person this year!
The 39th annual Winans Dinner will be held Friday, May 13, with two outstanding Democratic leaders as special invited guests. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin are both invited to the event.
“The Winans Dinner is our biggest fundraiser of the year. After two years of Zoom events, we are so excited to be back in person for a lovely dinner. Democrats are looking forward to reconnecting with people they haven’t seen in person for a while,” said Judy Daubenmier, Livingston County Democratic Party chair.
To keep our supporters safe, attendees must bring proof of vaccinations and booster shots for Covid-19.
The event will be Friday, May 13, at Lakelands Golf and Country Club, 8760 Chilson Road, Brighton. The evening will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m. featuring a cash bar followed by a sit-down dinner at 7 p.m. The evening will include snacks, dessert, and a 50-50 raffle.
The party’s fabulous silent auction will be on-line this year and will open several days before the event on Monday, May 9, and close at 10 p.m. on May 13. Donations of gift cards to popular local restaurants and other establishments are welcome as are hand-made items such as jewelry or donations of services. Tickets for the event are $85 through April 22 and $95 after that. Vegan and vegetarian options will be available with advance notice. Student tickets are $25. Tickets may be purchased herehttps://secure.actblue.com/donate/winans2022.

“This event is one of the most important ways that we prepare for the November 2022 election. Proceeds help us support our slate of candidates right here in Livingston County. Please make plans to join us,” Daubenmier said.
