The race for the Democratic nomination for the 7th Congressional District seat is heating up!
One of the candidates – former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink – will speak to Livingston Dems at this month’s meeting.

Bridget Brink recently resigned as U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine in protest of the reckless and chaotic policies coming out of Washington which are hurting residents of the 7th District.
Bridget comes from a family of farmers, union auto workers, and teachers whose family roots in mid-Michigan go back six generations.
Raised by a single mom, her upbringing stressed Midwestern values of hard work, honesty, and doing the right thing.
During her nearly 30 years in the U.S. Foreign Service, she has dedicated her life to serving the nation and defending freedom.
Bridget served under five presidents, both Democratic and Republican. She was the first woman to serve as U.S. Ambassador in a war zone.
“I have a proven record of making the hard calls, tackling the toughest problems, and holding the powerful accountable. I am running for Congress to fight for what’s right for the 7th District and for our country,” she said.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, at Re/MAX Platinum Auditorium, 6870 Grand River, between Brighton and Howell. Park in the back, use the rear entrance, and take the stairs or elevator down to the auditorium. Social time will be at 7:30 p.m. The business locks the door at 7 p.m. so please arrive before then.
