What's On Your Ballot? Come Find out Sept. 24

Voting season is starting Sept. 24 when absentee ballots go out.

Are you ready to vote on all parts of the ballot, including the ballot proposals?

Livingston Dems will host a presentation on Ballot Proposals 1 and 2 at our monthly meeting on Thursday, Sept. 24.

Ballot Proposal 1 asks voters whether the state should hold a constitutional convention to revise Michigan's constitution. The measure is required to appear on the ballot every 16 years. It has never passed. The Michigan Democratic Party urges a No vote.

Ballot Proposal 2 asks voters whether to restrict political contributions by utilities and those with state contracts. Money Out of Politics is backed by a broad coalition of citizen groups. The Michigan Democratic Party urges a Yes vote.
