Spring is here, and that means it's time for the first roadside cleanup event of 2026!

Livingston Dems will begin another year of cleaning up a two-mile stretch of M-59 on Sunday, April 12, under the MDOT Adopt-a-Highway program.

And you can help!

We will meet in the parking lot of Ironwood Golf Course, 6902 E. Highland Blvd., Oceola Township at 8 a.m. We will provide safety vests, pickup sticks, and trash bags.

Please wear sturdy shoes, a hat, and sunscreen, and bring work gloves.

When you join with us, you will be among nearly 3,000 volunteers statewide who gather more than 60,000 bags of trash from Michigan roadsides every year.

This is a great way to do something for the environment, help improve our community, and get a little exercise. At the same time, you will be meeting like-minded friends in a casual atmosphere.

The rain date will be April 19.

Please sign up here so we know you are coming.
