Writer's picture: livingstondemslivingstondems

Running for office is hard -- but it can be funny, too.

Local comedic storyteller and short-filmmaker Amir Bagdadchi knows. He once ran for Livingston County commissioner.

Recently, he turned his comedic eye on the process of running for office and produced,Marley for Michigan, a chronicle of the escapades of a first-time candidate running for Michigan State Senate in a place that looks suspiciously like Livingston County.

Marley for Michiganis available on Amazon Prime, but Amir has provided a link for all of us to watch the 30-minute film. It features people and places you may recognize!

Enjoy the film, and then, on Thursday, May 28, Amir will join us at Livingston Dems' monthly meeting to talk about the film and answer your questions.

This is a fun way to learn about some of the behind-the-scenes challenges of running for office as a non-incumbent!
