It's precinct delegate roundup time! Join us on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 11 a.m at at the Brighton District Library. Livingston Dems are starting now to recruit local Democrats to r.un for precinct delegate in the August primary.

About the event
Not sure what a precinct delegate does? Then join us on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 11 a.m. at the Brighton District Library for an overview of the precinct delegate role within the Democratic Party.
To become a precinct delegate, you must fill out an affidavit, have it notarized, and turn it in to the county clerk. Your name will appear on the ballot in the Aug. 4 primary. Democrats in each precinct vote for the delegates, and those receiving the most votes are elected.
The main job of a precinct delegate is to attend and vote at county and state Democratic Party conventions. (However, anyone who has been a party member for 30 days can also attend and vote at the conventions.) Precinct delegates can also be asked to volunteer in other ways.
