Livingston Dems will hear from another candidate for the Democratic nomination for the 7th Congressional District later this month.
William Lawrence, a Lansing-area political organizer and activist, will speak at the party’s Sept. 25 meeting.

Lawrence was a founder of the Sunrise Movement, which helped Biden pass the largest green jobs program in U.S. history.
It delivered hundreds of millions of dollars in investment to Michigan’s 7th Congressional District.
He also has made good housing a focus. He founded the Michigan Rent Is Too Damn High Coalition, which fights for solutions to the housing crisis, and has won statewide protections for low-income renters.
Lawrence also is a founder of the Mid-Michigan Tenant Resource Center, which empowers tenants to know their rights, and secure good housing.
He is a native of mid-Michigan.
